The Durant Lions will head out on the road to take on the Memorial Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Durant is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Durant came up short against Will Rogers College and fell 61-53.
Meanwhile, Memorial was able to grind out a solid win over Sapulpa on Tuesday, taking the game 59-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Memorial.
It was another big night for Jalil Cotton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Johnson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Durant has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Durant suffered a grim 54-32 defeat to Memorial when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cotton, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
