The Unity Christian Knights can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They blew past Tri-State Christian, posting a 45-15 win on the road. The team accrued 38 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Unity Christian found their leader in underclassman Kaylie Hays, who dropped a double-double on 14 rebounds and 12 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Merema, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Unity Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Tri-State Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Unity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tri-State Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
