Lead Hill has gone 9-1 against Deer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lead Hill Tigers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Deer Antlers at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Lead Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Alpena to the tune of 91-56 on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-25.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lead Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danny Evans, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Evans a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Dawson Lively, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and six steals.
Meanwhile, Deer hadn't done well against Omaha recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Deer secured a 64-58 W over Omaha. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Antlers.
Lead Hill better keep an eye on Mason Guinnip. He was instrumental in Deer's win, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. Guinnip's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kaden Moore was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.
Deer's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Lead Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant forwards against one another: Noah Royce and Guinnip. Royce has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 16.6 points, 1.9 steals, and 7.1 rebounds. For his part, Guinnip has averaged 14.9 points and 10.6 boards.
Lead Hill strolled past Deer in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 68-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Guinnip, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Lead Hill still be able to contain Guinnip? There's only one way to find out.
