The biggest upset of the week belonged to Marshall/Charlotte, who took down 448th ranked Edison Tech/Monroe, 34-14. Jason Howard threw for 103 yards and ran for 133 yards in the win.
The Jurists' Howard rumbled for the longest rushing play in Section 5 City-Catholic this season in his game against the Inventors last week.
Marshall/Charlotte's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justice Flagler helped Marshall/Charlotte's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Marquis Fields was the best wideout in the league this week as Majied Eason's team topped Edison Tech/Monroe. Fields tallied three receptions for 70 yards.
Marshall/Charlotte's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jurists feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Howard has thrown for 306 yards this season, while Flagler has nine catches for 154 yards. Howard also leads the league in rushing with 384 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when McQuaid Jesuit takes on East/School of the Arts/Dr. Thomas. The Knights have allowed 57 points this season, while the Orientals have given up 62. McQuaid Jesuit allowed 7 points last week as it defeated Wilson Magnet/School Without Walls.
East/School of the Arts/Dr. Thomas moved up to 222 from 275 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 5 City-Catholic. The Orientals climbed the ranks as a result of a 42-0 win over Franklin/Jefferson.
