Davenport West had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past East Moline United 21-0. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Davenport West is ranked far ahead of East Moline United in the MaxPreps state rankings. This was the first game for both teams, giving Davenport West a 1-0 record and starting East Moline United off at 0-1.
Next week, Davenport West take on Clinton at 7:30 PM. As for East Moline United, they will face of against East Peoria.
