Sadly, the Wellington Eagles are still looking for their first win of the season after 18 contests. They had to suffer through a rough 94-27 loss at the hands of Strasburg. Wellington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Strasburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landen Martin, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Austin Velasco, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Wellington dropped their record down to 0-18 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Strasburg, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Wellington will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Strasburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estes Park at 6:30 p.m.
