The Elite Academy Eagles entered their tilt with the Hallandale Chargers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Elite Academy secured a 52-48 W over Hallandale on Thursday.
Ladainian Brooks was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Elite Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Theophile, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Elite Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Hallandale, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Elite Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Inlet Grove on January 5th. Hopefully Inlet Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday. As for Hallandale, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Barron Collier at 4:30 p.m. Barron Collier presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hallandale in Florida (Barron Collier is ranked 144th, while Hallandale is ranked 301st).
