Trey Cecil posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Fairdale is 2-1 when Cecil allows three or fewer earned runs, but 2-5 otherwise.
