Christian Academy is 0-4 against West Washington since May of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Warriors will take on the Senators at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Christian Academy got the win against Austin by a conclusive 20-3.
Jolynn Lawyer made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Leah Stevens was a standout: she scored five runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Natalie McKain was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, West Washington put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Brownstown Central with a sharp 11-1 win. The Senators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.
Like Christian Academy, West Washington also got a great game from a two-way player: Emery Haub. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Haub also allowed four hits, marking her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, West Washington got a massive performance out of Macy Lowery, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, Lowery is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Meredith Deaton also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
West Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
West Washington pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Christian Academy suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to West Washington when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
