Bronaugh is 1-9 against Sheldon since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bronaugh Wildcats will be staying on the road to face off against the Sheldon Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in Bronaugh's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.

Despite the defeat, Bronaugh got a solid performance out of Strauss Banes, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 51.8% of Bronaugh's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Duncan, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Bronaugh struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Even though Sheldon has not done well against Jefferson Independent Day recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Sheldon walked away with a 45-32 win over Jefferson Independent Day. The win was just what Sheldon needed coming off of a 68-28 loss in their prior matchup.
Bronaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Sheldon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Bronaugh suffered a grim 55-32 defeat to Sheldon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sheldon's Shon Bogart, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds.
