The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Duncan, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Bronaugh struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Even though Sheldon has not done well against Jefferson Independent Day recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Sheldon walked away with a 45-32 win over Jefferson Independent Day. The win was just what Sheldon needed coming off of a 68-28 loss in their prior matchup.
Bronaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Sheldon, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Bronaugh suffered a grim 55-32 defeat to Sheldon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sheldon's Shon Bogart, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds.
