Volleyball Recap: Mount Olive Christian Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against ARC Academy, Mount Olive Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Varsity Opponent 3-2. Mount Olive Christian hasn't had any issues with Varsity Opponent recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-97) Mount Olive Christian actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 8-25, 15-11.

Maeva Sitagata paced Mount Olive Christian's offense, picking up 19 kills. Sitagata really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Mount Olive Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Mount Olive Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Cornerstone Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Faith Christian Academy on the 22nd.
