Elk County Catholic took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against DuBois Central Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crusaders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Elk County Catholic's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady Leathers, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Elk County Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for DuBois Central Catholic, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Looking ahead, Elk County Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Port Allegany at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Karns City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
