The Aliquippa Quips will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Selinsgrove Seals at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Aliquippa: 15.5, Selinsgrove: 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
With a playoff game on the line, Aliquippa rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 win over the Tigers. Aliquippa's win was all the more impressive since McKeesport was averaging only 12.54 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Selinsgrove put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They breezed by Juniata at home to the tune of 44-14. Considering Selinsgrove has won 11 matches by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Selinsgrove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mark Pastore led the charge by throwing for 154 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Gavin Bastian also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.
Aliquippa's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Selinsgrove, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0-1 record.
