Savannah Turek posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Springfield back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Turek has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Turek's effort led Mineral Ridge over Springfield and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
