Chicopee Comp got a  massive  performance out of  Ari Chagnon, who  went 3-for-5 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Chagnon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Marissa Vasquez, who  went 3-for-5 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chicopee Comp  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmer only managed five  hits.
 Meanwhile, Central strolled into their game  on Monday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Southwick Regional with a sharp  15-3 victory. Fans of the Golden Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
 Central pushed their record up to 8-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Chicopee Comp, their victory  ended  an  eight-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-13.
 Chicopee Comp skirted past Central  6-5 in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
