After only one run in their last matchup, Charlestown made sure to put some runs up on the board against Christian Academy on Friday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Warriors. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Lynch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Grayson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Charlestown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Charlestown's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-8. As for Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Charlestown beat the Warriors by a score of 17-7 later that day.
