Southeast has struggled against John F. Kennedy Catholic recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Southeast still got an impressive performance from Garrett Sprutte, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. That was a full 53.7% of Southeast's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Southeast struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as John F. Kennedy Catholic pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
John F. Kennedy Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Ryan out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Ryan is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Nico Ciminero was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten assists and five steals.
Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Newton Falls at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Newton Falls focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for John F.
