Byron had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cannon Falls Bombers on Saturday, sneaking past 7-5. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

This is the second loss in a row for Cannon Falls and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Byron will be playing at home against Goodhue at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cannon Falls, they will venture away from home to face off against Plainview-Elgin-Millville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
