The Wendover Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 54-20 victory over Tintic on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Wendover, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
Wendover found their leader in underclassman Millie Hicks, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Paulina Gomez, who scored 12 points.
Wendover's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Tintic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Wendover will be home for the holidays to greet Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wells is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Tintic, they will head out on the road to face off against Maeser Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Maeser Prep Academy is ranked 124th, while Tintic is ranked 123rd).
