The Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS are taking a road trip to square off against the Summit Country Day Silver Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madeira is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Madeira barely beat Mariemont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Warriors on Saturday. The matchup marked the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Sammy McClain and Keegan World made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, McClain pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Meanwhile, World pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, McClain posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, McClain scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5, while World went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that World hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kane Temar, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Nate Hyland, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Madeira was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Summit Country Day posted their closest win since May 4, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Villa Madonna 3-1. The Silver Knights haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Lucas Reder was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Reder was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Reder wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Minton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Summit Country Day's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Madeira, their record now sits at 6-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Madeira has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Summit Country Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
