The Seeger Patriots lost against the Benton Central Bison back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Seeger took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benton Central. Seeger has struggled against Benton Central recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Seeger still got an impressive performance from cameron laws, who scored 18 points. That was a full 42.9% of Seeger's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Christian Holland, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Seeger's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Benton Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Seeger will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Boone at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Western Boone is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Benton Central, they will head out on the road to take on Fountain Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
