Brighton has gone 5-0 against West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Brighton Bengals will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brighton has three straight victories, West has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Tuesday, Brighton earned a 55-47 win over Skyline.

It was another big night for Jaxon Soto, who posted 18 points along with five assists and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Easton, who had 15 points.
Meanwhile, West lost 77-51 to Olympus on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Titans are ranked sixth).
Loss or not, West got some senior leadership from Saladi Maluak and Phillip Ladua. Maluak went 5 of 7 en route to 16 points and five boards, while Ladua went 8 for 17 on his way to 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maluak has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chachi Pan, who earned four points.
Brighton's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Brighton hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 61.8 points per game. However, it's not like West struggles in that department as they've been averaging 58.7 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Brighton came out on top in a nail-biter against West in their previous meeting on January 7th, sneaking past 56-53. Will Brighton repeat their success, or does West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
