Holtville took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palo Verde Valley. Holtville has struggled against Palo Verde Valley recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Palo Verde Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaraivion Crowe out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The game was Crowe's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Rudy Armstrong was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Holtville's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Palo Verde Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Holtville will head out on the road to face off against Desert Mirage at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palo Verde Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Brawley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
