The McAdory Yellowjackets suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Saturday. They suffered a rough 51-28 defeat at the hands of Midfield. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McAdory in their matchups with Midfield: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Midfield to victory were Jazmin Johnson and Kamiya Webb. Johnson scored 18 points, while Webb dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Webb is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lauren Stokes, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
McAdory has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Midfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McAdory will take on Oak Mountain at 12:15 p.m. on Monday. Oak Mountain is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Midfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tarrant at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Tarrant is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home.
