The Reading Rangers struggled with offensive rebounds on Thursday (the Concord Yellowjackets had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Reading was outmatched by Concord on the road and fell 62-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reading has scored all season.
Brayden Wright was Reading's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Nathan Robbins held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Mekhi Wingfield continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Concord, scoring 31 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Wingfield's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jett Smith, who scored 13 points.
Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Concord, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Reading will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Union City at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Concord, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Gull Lake at 4:30 p.m.
