John F. Kennedy Catholic found their leader in underclassman Gianna Pompelia, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Pompelia continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Darney, who scored seven points along with 20 rebounds and three steals.
Cardinal Mooney's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
