Cross Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 34 points or more this season.
Cross Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saniyah Scott, who scored 18 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Scott scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tierra Turner, who scored 11 points along with eight steals and seven assists.
Academy of Richmond County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was NaCja Johnson, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jah'Maya Lambert, who scored eight points.
Cross Creek pushed their record up to 17-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Academy of Richmond County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Cross Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 498th, while Cross Creek is ranked 86th). As for Academy of Richmond County, they will head out on the road to square off against Harlem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlem is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
