The North Vikings can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They skirted past East 57-55. North's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, East still got an impressive performance from Brooklynn Diener, who scored 27 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Diener has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aanijah Springfield, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, East were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
North's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for East, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home.
North will take on Ellet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Ellet is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.9 points per game. As for East, they will head out on the road to challenge Firestone at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
