Greenbrier has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Cheatham County Central Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Even though White House scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Greenbrier still came out on top. Greenbrier walked away with a 66-57 victory over White House.
Greenbrier got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nolan Carson out in front who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 16 rebounds, and ten assists. Carson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Nate Castleman was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meanwhile, Cheatham County Central pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of White House. While losing is never fun, Cheatham County Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while White House is ranked 117th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sebastian Bryant, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Bumpus, who scored eight points along with five assists and two steals.
Cheatham County Central struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as White House pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.

As for Cheatham County Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Monday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Greenbrier have been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 44.1% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Cheatham County Central struggles in that department as they've made 37.1% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Greenbrier was able to grind out a solid victory over Cheatham County Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 50-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenbrier since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
