On Sunday, Madison Academy came up short against Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy and fell 51-40.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Howard Rivers, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Rivers scored 15 or more points. Zaki Parham was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Madison Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Madison Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy and Holy Spirit Prep will face off on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
