It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Marshfield Pirates can now relate to. They fell 14-6 to Seaside on Friday. Marshfield's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Ashton Fitzgerald-thornton threw for 64 yards and a touchdown. Steel Carpenter was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, John Lemmons rushed for 87 yards.
Marshfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Seaside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Marshfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seaside will head out on the road to face off against Marist at 4:30 p.m. on November 18th. Marist will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
