After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Laurens, Clinton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Fairfield Central Griffins a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Clinton has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Fairfield Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will welcome Eau Claire at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Shamrocks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.6 runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fairfield Central, they will host Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Rebels have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
