The Rockford Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockford has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Rockford's last matchup with Hudsonville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Rams lost 17-7 to the Eagles. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Forest Hills Eastern entered their tilt with Forest Hills Central on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Rangers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Raena Scully was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Scully was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last seven games.
In other batting news, Forest Hills Eastern got a massive performance out of Emilee Nowicki, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Sophia Tabin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Forest Hills Eastern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest Hills Central didn't got any hits.
Forest Hills Eastern pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rockford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
