The Lincoln County Lynx will face off against the White Pine Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
White Pine will be up against a hot Lincoln County squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Lynx's pitchers stepped up to hand Laughlin a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. 13 seems to be a good number for the Lynx as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Meanwhile, White Pine got the win against Lake Mead Christian Academy on Friday by a conclusive 18-2. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly 16 runs.
Gianna Sedlacek made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.
In other batting news, Kenna Brunson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Camden Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
White Pine hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Mead Christian Academy struck out eight times.
White Pine is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
Everything went Lincoln County's way against White Pine in their previous meeting back in March, as Lincoln County made off with an 18-8 victory. Do the Lynx have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
