Hagerty is 0-3 against East River since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hagerty Huskies will be playing at home against the East River Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hagerty had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past Osceola, posting a 85-18 victory at home. Fans of Hagerty have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Hagerty can attribute much of their success to Ciara Hayes, who went 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 5 assists, and Kylee Kitts, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hayes has scored at least 25% of Hagerty's points. Isabel Lindauer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 assists.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for East River on the road against Lake Nona on Tuesday as the team secured a 49-21 win.
Their wins bumped Hagerty to 3-0 and Osceola to 1-2.
Hagerty came up short against East River in their previous matchup back in January of 2021, falling 36-31. Thankfully for Hagerty, Kamryn Bullock (who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
