Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Huron's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Huron proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Bellevue Redmen. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 22, 2024.

Huron is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Bellevue, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Huron will face off against Willard at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crimson Flashes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.47 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bellevue, they will take on Columbian at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
