Softball Recap: Central Beats Hatton for Their Third Straight Win

Central entered their tilt with Hatton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Hornets get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Khloe Broadwater, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Sevier, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hatton only posted an OBP of .222.

Central's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Hatton, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11-1 record.

Coming up, Central will take on Athens Bible in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Hatton, they will venture away from home to square off against Lawrence County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
