Joel Romero was a major factor in Superior's victory over Ray on Friday. Romero produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Superior: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 3-4 otherwise.

Coming up, Romero and Superior will take on Hayden at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
