Blue Ridge strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 48-43 W against the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Blue Ridge to victory were Opal Maralit and Talia Maxwell. Maralit went 5-for-7 en route to 15 points and six rebounds, while Maxwell posted nine points along with six boards and four steals. The contest was Maralit's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Macie Hanley, who put up two points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

When it comes to explaining why St. Joseph's Catholic lost, don't look at Tiffany Helmer. Despite the final result, she shot 50% from the field to rack up 18 points. Evie Adams was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Blue Ridge's record is now 5-0. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.
