After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marquez, Maywood Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 62-37 margin over the Maywood CES Wolfpack. The Nighthawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.

Rodrigo Miranda was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. He has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luis ALEGRIA, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Maywood Academy moved to 10-8 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Maywood CES, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Maywood Academy has already played their next contest (against Banning), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Maywood CES will head out to take on Marquez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
