After only three points in their last contest, The Eastside Blazers made sure to put some points up on the board against the Wabash Apaches on Friday. Eastside claimed a resounding 48-7 win over Wabash at home. The result was nothing new for Eastside, who have now won five contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Eastside found their leader in underclassman Linkin Carter, who rushed for 130 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Wyatt Davis also helped out as he racked up 105 rushing yards.
Eastside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Wabash, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Eastside will head out on the road to face off against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is on a three-game streak of home wins, Eastside a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Wabash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
