After three games on the road, Susitna Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Tok Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Susitna Valley's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Tok's offense will have their work cut out for them.
On Saturday, Susitna Valley escaped with a win against Petersburg by the margin of a single free throw, 29-28.
Meanwhile, Tok suffered a tough 61-39 loss at the hands of Fort Yukon on Friday. While losing is never fun, Tok can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Fort Yukon is ranked ninth).
Susitna Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Tok, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Susitna Valley strolled past Tok in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a score of 45-27. Does Susitna Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tok turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
