The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Providence-St. Mel in their matchups with Walther Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Walther Christian Academy to victory were Tamia Allen and Saniyya Harvey. Allen scored 19 points along with 4 steals, while Harvey scored 12 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists. Harvey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Ziupsnys, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals.
Providence-St. Mel's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walther Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Rochelle Zell Jewish the next time they take the court. Walther Christian Academy will head out to face Rochelle Zell Jewish at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while Providence-St. Mel will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on December 12th.
