Temescal Canyon will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Elsinore extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Tigers blew past Diamond Ranch, posting a 50-6 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Kai Tamagpong produced another solid performance rushing for 190 yards and three scores on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Ledgend Johnson was another key player, picking up 89 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Elsinore was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 187 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Temescal Canyon played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Great Oak and fell 49-13. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
Although Temescal Canyon took the loss, they still got scores from Aaron Boessler and Anthony Neal-Long.
Elsinore's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Temescal Canyon, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Elsinore has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 277.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Temescal Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 151.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
