The Alpine Bucks's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took down Presidio 50-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Alpine also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Alpine found their leader in underclassman Karolina Castillo, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Castillo has scored at least 25% of Alpine's points. Another player making a difference was Nadia Morris, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Alpine's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Presidio, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Compass Academy the next time they take the court. Alpine will host Compass Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Presidio will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
