When it comes to explaining why Wheatland-Chili lost, one person who can't be blamed is Leighton Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Williams is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Schwenebraten, who scored 11 points.
Wheatland-Chili's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Alexander, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Wheatland-Chili will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. Wheatland-Chili is coming into the contest with eight straight losses at home, meaning Pembroke will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Alexander, they will head out on the road to challenge Oakfield-Alabama at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Alexander has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 266 points over their last four matchups.
