The Roxana Shells can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 victory over Chester. The win was just what Roxana needed coming off of a 49-24 defeat in their prior match.
Chris Walleck continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 3 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Aidan Briggs was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Roxana's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Chester, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
Roxana is on the road again on Thursday and play against Salem at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Chester and Woodlawn will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
