After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Custer County, the Whitefish Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They secured a 39-35 W over Lincoln County. That's another feather in the cap for Whitefish, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Lincoln County still got an impressive performance from Kara Stanger, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Stanger pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Sharp, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
The victory got Whitefish back to even at 3-3. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitefish will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Polson at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to face off against Superior at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
