The Pearce Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 59-35 defeat at the hands of Richardson. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Pearce has suffered against Richardson since February 2, 2021.
Pearce's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedy Walters, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Pearce now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Richardson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pearce will take on MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Richardson, they will be playing at home against Irving at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Irving will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 941st, while Richardson is ranked 222nd).
