Grenada got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelton Jones out in front who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. The game was Jones' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jarques Perry, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Yazoo County has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Grenada, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.
Yazoo County will finish 2023 at home by hosting Coffeeville at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Grenada will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against New Albany at 5:45 p.m. on December 29th. New Albany presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Grenada in Mississippi (New Albany is ranked 23rd, while Grenada is ranked 179th).
